BBC and Sky reporting Jacqui Smith told Gordon Brown she wanted to stand down.
You can see one of her final performances in my ‘Make Government Poverty History‘ video on YouTube. (Hopefully – as Youtube still seems extremely slow to connect since its problems with routing connections the other week. I’ve tried using 2 isps and have the same intermittent problems.)
A real rush job, but having just heard Hazel Blears telling the world that she’s doing an excellent job, I wanted to get something sorted quickly. (Video replaced with new ending.)
Update : After watching the original with headphones on, I realised the sound was a bit dodgy, so I’ve created a new version which now appears below. (I assume the noise of the PC fan masked the dodgy sound when I created the first version.) I’ll leave the first one in place for those who have embedded it.
Excuse the lack of Tories in the video. There was a dearth of suitable source material, which essentially means that there wasn’t much video available where a Tory kept his or her gob shut. For this same reason, John Prescott does not appear.
