Northern Ireland returns to the gun

Just visiting for a little while.
I’m still trying to sort some stuff out but hope to be posting more frequently soon.
And as the Real IRA attempt to restart the troubles, it has an ally in The Daily Mail and those who comment on its site. Anything to boost readership.

Section 76 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008

I think I’ve covered everything so I’m in full compliance with the new terrorism act which now threatens anyone who allows a copper to stray into shot (camera shot, that is) with arrest.
Unfortunately, the video compression lessens the face pixellation effect I wanted but I hope to replace the video with one of better quality if I can get the upload sorted on a different site.

Sob story sobs Tory

I had proceeded in a Northerly direction and was waiting in the office of my grass at the appointed time (without back up, despite him being rather intimidating) when I discovered he was elsewhere, confessing to being appalled at my behaviour.
On receipt of the evidence which was provided to me on request, I thanked his staff and he dissappeared into another room where, I am told, he was wiped down with baby wet ones and changed into a new pair of pampers.
His crying was amplified by various baby monitors but is much quieter now, having received his feed of the mother’s milk of media coverage.

Conservatives up the police state hysteria with quotes from Pravda

Yes, I know there are different ‘Pravdas’ but the context in which the articles are used clearly show that there are few limits to The Conservatives’ use of the mantra :

Damien Green Gate – Tories produce tape

Update 2: The Tories have now (really) produced a videotape of the police search of Damian Green’s Parliamentary office. As far as I can see it does nothing but keep the kettle lukewarm.

What with the ‘Zanu Labour’ and ‘Stalinesque’ attacks and now this non-exposé, the Tories are unintentionally making themselves look desperate and panicked when, I suppose, they intend their campaign to have this effect on the government.

Now it’s starting to look if they really have something they want to bury and are keen for any investigation to be curtailed.

Update:
Here’s a cropped version of yesterday’s image for Channel 4 News.

You can see the full version here. When you get there, click on the image for super size.
(btw – despite what it says on C4 News, it’s an image not an animation)

Morten Morland has created an image along similar lines but much classier here.
