Sarah Palin vetting

Nice response on one of the U.S. blogs to an article enquiring whether Sarah Palin is a Creationist.
Palin has advocated teaching both evolution and creationism in schools. The U.S. blog reckons that this (and other answers she has given) does make her a creationist.

The response to the article :
“To those who say “teach both in our public schools“, I say “why stop there? “Why not teach both in Sunday school as well?”
“You know, don’t be afraid of information.”

I can’t say I’m a great fan but I’m definitely not for McCain.
He makes promises on International issues to get votes, then (apparently) backtracks as quietly as possible.
Whatever happens in the 2008 presidential elections, I don’t see much change in international policy.
Anyway, I was messing about with the Nike Tick logo and saw the likeness*. With the exception of two shapes, the head and the eyeball, only the logo was used.
*Maybe you don’t….

John McCain’s speechwriters become a bit more daring in their attempts to rescue the liberals and younger voters.
GC’s voice upped in pitch a tad. A bit rough but my trial versions of nearly every commercial video editor available have expired :-)
(although virtualdub (freeware) was pretty handy to get this far.)
If I find another editor, I may stop JMcC’s gob for the second or so that George Carlin pauses.

and btw, Morten Morland has a nice sketch of John McCain HERE.

Meghan McCain, daughter of the Republican presidential candidate has written a kids picture book about her father.

On her blog, where she publishes the press release, she also bravely lists her favorite (translation : favourite) country songs.

In at number seven is The Dixie Chicks’ song “Not Ready to Make Nice”, a statement about their feelings over the media storm and death threats after Natalie Maines told the audience at their concert in London “Just so you know, we’re ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas.”

The video below is of their performance at The Grammys with an introduction by Joan Baez.

In addition to having a pop at George Bush, Natalie also took issue with Toby Keith’s song “Courtesy of the Red, White, & Blue (The Angry American)”
