New images/animations coming soon. Apologies for the extended break which was due to a relapse of an acute imbibingitus condition which I am prone to. (Guinness mainly)
In the meantime,
Also, here’s a plug for the ‘But Is It Art’ exhibition at Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival – 18th-20th April 2008.
The link is to the Procartoonist website which provides a bit of a preview and a link to the official site.
I did this before I realised how much of a cliché the Gilbert and George, Eric and Ernie thing was.
I should always Google for clichés before I spend time on an image.
This took a hell of a long time to ensure there were no copyright problems.
Eric and Ernie’s faces were ‘painted’ using vectors as was the girl in the testcard although using a different method.
The latter method involved thousands of 12×12 pixel squares which created a grid which I then individually assigned the matching colour.
Yes, I could have run the original image through a series of filters but then that would be cheating and I would have no backup files to show I had created the image from scratch.
At the risk of being presumptuous, if you like it, click on the image to see it much larger.
I’m putting together a wallpaper version if anyone wants me to upload the file later.

IMAGE USE
If you run a non-commercial site and place an active link to this blog (http://www.bbdo.co.uk/blog - not the individual post) ADJACENT TO THE IMAGE and credit 'Beau Bo D'Or', you are welcome to use the images I create - with the exception of those I do on a commercial basis for Channel 4 News or any 3rd party. Please no bulletin boards that require registration. Definitely no Daily Mail which seems keen to nick my images without credit or payment.
