But give David Davis credit - His site’s graphics have been quickly changed to show a much more diverse population.
Yes, he’s being supported by some very large (or very small) people.
I feel sorry for the guy second from the left. He must have been told to stand at the back because of his size but he’s still a bit obvious.
Either that or he’s a ventriloquist and I should be feeling sorry for the bloke on his right who may need a lifetime’s supply of Preparation H for his participation in the photoshoot.
“At a formal dinner party, the person nearest death should always be seated closest to the bathroom.”
I discovered George Carlin much too late. A spokesperson and great comedian.
Update :
George Carlin is dead - Get over it - I think that’s what he would say.
Now let’s wait and see which stores hike up the price of his work.
So many sites are showing his more recent (outstanding) performances, here’s an old one and I’ve now linked to the newer stuff as too many videos will slow the site down.
A welcome return to blogging from Morten Morland, one of the best cartoonists published in the UK and internationally.
See this post about him being ripped off for the second time (that he’s aware of) by the same “tracer”.
Then browse around his site, bookmark it, then add it to your blogroll which will surely encourage him to return to more frequent posting
Morten’s latest is in today’s Times here.
Unfortunately, The Times doesn’t properly archive its cartoon section, so it will disappear over the next week, but the link is still valid for keeping an eye on Morten’s and Peter Brookes’ most recent work.
The Reservoir Dogs seems to be taking over (as planned), with Boris Johnson abdicating responsibility and being kept out of the loop by his masters. Who are Boris’s Dick Cheneys?
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Kelvin MacKenzie confirms that for him, the by-election is over….with a free Sun Surrenders pullout in today’s paper.
Cartooning is a way of taking back a little power from the bullies who run our lives. A cartoonist is a lone assassin who keeps on firing away at them and hopefully, if he manages to get enough direct hits, he might find a little weak spot and help to bring them down.
- An interesting interview with Dave Brown in today’s Independent HERE
An Independent Line โ an exhibition of cartoons from The Independent newspaper, by Dave Brown, Peter Schrank and Tim Sanders, is at the Political Cartoon Gallery in London from June 18 until October 18.
Plenty of time to see some of the best UK political cartoons from the last 12 years, some of which are for sale.
Definitely worth a trip to London. The Political Cartoon Gallery is easy to get to in Central London, on Store Street which runs between Tottenham Court Road and Gower Street - see map here.
Full address - 32 Store Street, London WC1E 7BS. Open Monday to Friday 9.30am โ 5.30pm and on Saturdays between 11.30am โ 5.30pm. (As with every event that lasts so long, best to check opening times before you travel - Bank Holidays etc.)
Plenty of good bars and restaurants around (NB - No drinking on public transport and don’t leave confidential documents on the tube, bus or train.)
If you run a non-commercial site, link back to this blog (not the individual post) and credit 'Beau Bo D'Or', you are welcome to use the images I create - with the exception of those I do for Channel 4 News or any 3rd party.
Please no bulletin boards that require registration.
Definitely no Daily Mail who seem keen to nick my images.
