What a wonderful and squeaky-clean image the Tories seem to think they have.

Just because the focus of the media is currently on New Labour, why do they think the voting public has been afflicted by a collective early-onset Alzheimer’s ?

Their proposal of a £50,000 (earlier reported to be £100,000 and my figures recalculated) minimum donation rule has more holes in it than a crocheted teabag.

Let me see…..
I have £1.1 Million, give twenty-two gifts of £50,000 to Tarquin, Sebastian and twenty others who in-turn make £50,000 donations to the Tories and the Tory coffers receive £1M from me via my appointed middlemen.*
*This assumes that two of my friends do the honourable thing and spend each of their £50,000 gifts on prostitutes, champagne, cocaine and the collected works of Jeffrey Archer.
