The Spine Returns

Good news.
The Spine has started up again, so you can pop over there for a frequent dose of photoshoppery goodness.

As for me, I’m suffering a bit right now which limits what I can do.
A visit to the doc’s (who wouldn’t see me) then hospital yesterday hasn’t really helped with pain management although the tests indicate my most vital of organs (with the exception of the brain) are OK.
btw – the doctors/nurses at The Royal Free were brilliant.

Still, the excruciating pain* of yesterday and the pretty bad pain I’m enduring right now is slowing me down somewhat.
* I always thought I could tolerate pain pretty well but maybe I’ve become a wimp in my oldish age.

So, it’s Omeprazole, a hot water bottle and paracetamol for me for the immediate future and finding a GP in Camden who is not ‘full up’.

And another thing. Does the ‘caller preference’ service not stop political calls?
I’ve just put the phone down to a recording of Nick Clegg (or is someone from the blogosphere trying to stir up trouble by using the recording illegally – maybe I’m getting paranoid.)

Golconda (Magritte painting) but the word is apparently also a synonym for ‘mine of wealth’ .
(which I discovered after I put the image together)

The Millies – The Sun Military Awards Announced

The Sun has launched its own military awards to salute itself the armed forces.

And they don’t seem too popular.

To add insult to injury, The Sun has named it after the Foreign Secretary and his cabinet minister brother, David and Ed Miliband.

Category number 2 is interesting.
Support to the Armed Forces
The winner of this award will be a civilian – a civil servant, a contractor or just an ordinary member of the public – who has provided invaluable help to the Armed Forces.

Will apologists Geoff Hoon, John Reid or Des Browne get the nod for their unstinting work ensuring essential military equipment was always at hand? Maybe Gordon or even Tony Blair….
