Concern Grows Over Lib Dem Leadership Contest

Difficult to distinguish between candidates and rumours of selection being based on style and ‘cultural’ criteria.
Lembit Opik has ruled himself out despite calls to do so from members who believe it would make the party more ‘entertaining’.

Although being a saturday night ITV pastiche, shouldn’t there be a premium rate phone line advertised where potential lib-dem MPs can cast their votes on a future leader at only £1.50 per min or £2.50 per text message? Not forgetting to leave the phone lines open well after the new leader has been chosen…
