The officer (who has yet to be named) is not typical of the force as a whole but the thing that disturbs me the most about the whole affair is the blatant covering up by the Met who now seem to exist in a culture which lacks any form of accountability
it’s this culture of closing ranks and lack of accountability to protect the behaviour of the few bad police officers that seems to create the opportunism of the few thuggish officers in the first place
they take it as given that they can let rip rest assured that evidence like CCTV footage will not be presented…until, that is, video evidence is made available by an independant witness
Cheers Ben – very kind.
I’m glad to say that I’ve been able to post a bit more recently.
Thanks for sticking with the blog when there were very few updates.

Superb – echoing what a lot of people are thinking today.
Love the blog – one of the first I check everyday – but don’t comment to show appreciation as much as I should. Keep up the good work.
