to Neil Foster who won a lovely prize by sending in my Condoleezza Rice image to a weekly magazine which published it, minus my credit.
The magazine insists that it does not delete credits so, in effect, is accusing Neil or someone further down the line of cropping my tag out.

Congratulations are also in order to :
1. Tom Jenkins who supplied the same magazine with the Prescott Star Wars image who, by inference of the magazine, removed my tag.
2. Dave Holborn who supplied the same magazine with the Prescott Deadwood image who, by inference of the magazine, removed my tag.
3. Andy Melusco who supplied the same magazine with the Terror Warning image who, by inference of the magazine, removed my tag.
4. The magazine in question which ran a special feature in July, showing two World Cup pictures - Lottery and WC Crying Logo. It doesn’t say the pictures were sent in by anyone but The Phantom Credit & Tag Remover had managed to strike again.

Six images in the same magazine in the last month and several more in previous months despite an email sent to them a year ago.
The Terror Warning image appeared AFTER I talked with them on the phone and sent them emails about the previous images just last week.

And a special hello to everyone from the magazine and and/or it’s holding company who visit this site and did so a few times in the last couple of months and who searched for my tag via Google to find this site.

This doesn’t mean that those running non-commercial blogs should not use the images I put together - I am very happy that you do as long as a credit and link are given which most of you do because you have an integrity that seems to be sadly missing in the world of commercial publishing.

From the business practices page of the publisher’s corporate website :
“… core values, which are central to our success, are honesty and trust in all our business practices. These are backed up by the creativity and passion of our people.”

Good gag.
